Der Teufel vom Mühlenberg

Der Teufel vom Mühlenberg

DDR 1954/1955, Spielfilm

Inhalt

Based on a legend from the Harz Mountains: A miller, a castellan, and a village mayor set a mill on fire to prevent the village farmers from using it to grind their corn there. But the miller, who wants to force the villagers to draw on his services, has not reckoned with his employees Anna and Jörg who get wind of the crime and plan to secretly rebuild the mill. Since they get a lot of help from the forest and the village, they manage to set the mill back up. From now on, they are no longer forced to have their grain ground at the greedy miller′s. When the miller tries to take revenge, the charcoal burners transform him into a stone statue.
