The Crack Connection

Second theatrical release featuring the character of police detective Horst Schimanski from the TV show "Tatort" (the first being the 1985 release "Zahn um Zahn"): Hot on the trail of dealers of the new drug phenomenon Crack, Duisburg police detective Schimanski ends up in a nightclub. There he encounters Conny, the daughter of a former colleague, for whom he was a surrogate father in the past. Now she calls herself Zabou and is obviously part of the drug scene. Schimanski is determined to get her on the right track again, but then he gets drugged by an unknown party and subsequently loses his memory in a disastrous car ride. Meanwhile, the owner of the nightclub was killed with his service weapon. Now on the run from the gangsters and his own colleagues, Schimanski eventually realizes that Zabou is in fact the head of the drug dealers.
