Biography

Amber Bongard was born in Potsdam on August 24 1997. In 2004, she made her acting debut in an episode of the crime series "Tatort" starring Juliane Köhler and Ulrike Folkerts. This was followed by other memorable child roles in the TV dramas "In Sachen Kaminski" and "Es war Mord und ein Dorf schweigt". In 2006, she got her first movie roles in Ulrich Köhler"s "Montag kommen die Fenster" and Chris Kraus" award-winning "Vier Minuten". She then appeared in "Schattenkinder" (2007) and the tragicomedy "Patchwork" (2008), as well as in Julie Delpy"s "Die Gräfin" and Sönke Wortmann"s "Die Päpstin". After playing the younger sister of the protagonist in the romantic youth comedy "Groupies bleiben nicht zum Frühstück" (2010), she got her first starring role in 2011: In Marcus H. Rosenmüller"s comedy "Sommer in Orange", she plays the daughter of a Bhagwan disciple, who secretly longs for a conventional family life.
